What is rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty, often called a nose job, is surgery that reshapes the nose, improves how it works, or both. It can change the size of the nose and its parts, including the tip, nostrils and bridge, straighten a crooked nose or remove a hump on the bridge.
There is no single perfect nose, so every plan is built around your face. Dr. Fisher is also a board-certified ENT surgeon, which means he plans for how your nose breathes as well as how it looks, and he is well known for correcting noses that were operated on before.

What is the difference between cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty?
Cosmetic rhinoplasty changes shape, size and symmetry. Functional rhinoplasty corrects the inside of the nose to improve breathing, such as a deviated septum or nasal valve collapse. Many patients combine both.

Will there be a visible scar?
Septal surgery is done through incisions inside the nose, so there is no outside scar. Dr. Fisher explains the incisions for your specific plan at consultation.
