Avoid blood thinners, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E for a week before, and alcohol for 24 hours. Afterward, don't touch the area for 24 hours, skip hard exercise, saunas and sun for 48 hours, and sleep with your head raised the first night.
