What is a deep plane facelift?
A facelift, medically a rhytidectomy, lifts a sagging midface, softens folds and jowls and tightens loose skin under the jaw that can look like a double chin even at a healthy weight. A deep plane lift repositions the deeper tissue under the skin rather than only tightening the surface, which is why results look natural rather than pulled.
Dr. Fisher was taught the SMAS lift in residency but moved away from it because of its limits and inconsistent results. He trained in the extended deep plane face and neck lift used by top facelift surgeons in Manhattan and Beverly Hills, and it is the technique he performs today.

Is a deep plane lift better than a mini facelift?
Many patients are told they only need a mini or SMAS lift. Dr. Fisher moved away from the SMAS lift because of its limits and inconsistent results. The incisions are the same as a deep plane lift.
Can I just have a neck lift?
Yes. If loose neck skin is your main concern, a deep plane neck lift or a non-surgical option like ProfoundRF may fit. A neck lift targets loose skin, excess fat and weak muscles under the jaw and chin.
Can other procedures be done at the same time?
Buccal fat reduction and cheek contouring can be added if indicated, and an extended temporal brow lift can treat the upper face and brow at the same time.
Who is a good candidate?
